Willis Towers Watson is making big changes at its branch in Egypt

Willis Towers Watson, one of the leading global companies in the field of insurance consulting and brokerage, has made several changes to its arm in Egypt.

These changes included the appointment of Hamed Mabrouk, former managing director of the group’s branch in Egypt, as regional head of facultative reinsurance in the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) region.

The changes also included the selection of Wael Hazem as responsible for the group’s branch in Egypt, succeeding Hamed Mabrouk, in addition to the appointment of Hassan Helmy as responsible for individual and medical insurance services in Egypt and Jordan, and Ahmed Abu Al-Futouh, who is responsible for insurance consultations in Egypt and the Middle East region.

Hamed Mabrouk, Regional President of Facultative Reinsurance in the East and Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) region, said that the aim of these changes is to benefit from the expertise of the group’s cadres in Egypt in the other markets in which it operates, especially in an important file such as reinsurance.

Mabrouk added that these movements also aimed to inject new blood into the group’s branch in Egypt and provide an opportunity for technical staff to provide a new experience and diverse solutions to clients, whether insurance companies, economic institutions or individuals.

He pointed out that with regard to the new tasks of the staff, Hazem is responsible for the direct brokerage activity and is nominated for the position of Managing Director of Willis Towers Watson Egypt, adding that Aboul Fotouh is responsible for consulting and risk solutions.

Helmy is responsible for the Jordan branch of Willis Towers Watson Egypt, in addition to his duties in the Middle East for life and medical insurance.
